Isn't it a great day to be Irish!!
Although better if I was in Ireland than I'd be off work as its a public holiday but since I'm in Sydney I'm working d'oh. I'm missing being at home today.
Oh well. so in all the spirit of the day - 'May your day hold all the treasures you deserve & your evening all the smiles to see you through til tomorrow'.

As for doing something I haven't done on the weekend. I signed up for a curling tournament (for charity). It's not skydiving, but pushing those 60 pound rock up and down a sheet of ice while sweeping, was rather unusual (and I ache today). A exchange student from Oz won the prize for falling the most times on the ice.

I like that Irish saying you have on your post, which translates to English as "a hundred thousand welcomes." That's lovelier than a hundred thousand goodbyes.

I love Irish, its such a pity we don't spreak it more. There are some parts of west Ireland that speak it but not many other places. Its compulsary to learn it in school until you're 17 but after that there is no real use of it which makes me kindda sad.
